Happy belated 4th of July

July 4th 2013 was perfect. We planned ahead so we could stay home all day and relax and then head out to the fireworks that evening. It has been so hot in Boise and we were struggling to keep our little house below 80 degrees. We slept in, made delicious crepes topped with blueberries and vanilla cream, and then deep cleaned our house.

We watched a bunch of shows on netflix, cooked our deep dish cheese pizza from the Winco deli, and drank root beer.

That evening we packed up the bikes and rode to downtown to watch the fireworks. Sadly, it was during the loading up of bikes that the camera hit the ground and the shutter button broke!! Dan was nice enough to just hug me and not be mad at me, but I'm so sad we didn't get any good pictures of our perfect 4th of July. I'm so sad I don't have a working camera anymore! (Or a working laptop...)

We packed plenty of treats and were so close to the fireworks that we were also covered in debris by the time the whole thing was over. Boise put on a great show!!
