Christmas 2012 wrap up

Oh January. Why must you be so cold? We are so excited to be in Boise. Our little apartment is 889 square feet. We didn't think we would miss the 76 additional square feet that our other apartment had. Boy were we wrong. We couldn't be in a better area of town and we're making our little space work.

Thanks to his amazing parents, we didn't even have to drive the moving truck to get here! His dad drove the truck and we all drove our cars. We were met with a lot of help from friends and new ward members. Our old ward helped load the truck as well. On a tender note, Sweet Dan was so overcome with gratitude for all the help we received that he couldn't talk about it without tearing up. THANK YOU HELPERS! We've moved a lot and we've never really had much help aside from our parents and it was much appreciated.

Dan is off to a great start in nursing school. He is building his confidence that he is going to succeed in the program. He saved our family from living in a room of boxes by spending all of his free time doing damage control to our new apartment. He sorted and stored all of our moving totes, hung all our pictures. and unpacked more than his fair share of our belongings.

BEFORE the big exodus from Utah, we spent 6 lovely days in Idaho. My brother Jason, his wife Lindsey, and their beautiful baby Olivia were in town from Texas. We had so much fun paying a wild game of Life with them and my sister and her husband. (I was actually the winner of the game.)

We ate at the North Highway Cafe for good old times sake. Tried to go sledding in Ucon. Ate more food than should be mentioned here. Took the kids roller skating.  Dressed up and went rock and roll bowling at Bowlero. Celebrated new Years Eve at Candace's place in Rexburg. Celebrated the birth of my beautiful new niece, Mira Rose (GO BRAD & MICHELLE!). Watched home videos. Slept in. Stayed up late. And had a great time.
